Vote list 9!
Our institution is under pressure, all the more reason for it to take care of its staff. With unchanged status, U4U proposes a series of beneficial actions for the staff as well as for the institution. One obviously does not go without the other.
Europe needs a cohesive, motivated, independent, creative and competent civil service: let's make sure that we give ourselves the means for this ambition.
U4U offers you a complete brochure of its programme, which you can read by clicking here.

For U4U, civil servants and other European agents are not bureaucrats, but actors in the European construction which constitutes their raison d'être.

Equal treatment: diversity and inclusion
No one should be discriminated against, whatever their nationality, gender, age, origin, religion, sexual orientation, political beliefs... Specific measures must be taken to avoid it.

Dignity and working conditions
The administration must take care of the well-being of all its personnel, and in particular of those who are experiencing a significant increase in their workload. Solutions must be considered to guarantee the continuity of the quality of execution of the tasks

The Commission must carry out its missions by fully assuming its institutional and political role. For this, it must have a prospective management of Human Resources and not only administrative and regulatory.

Promotion must be based on merit, according to clearly defined criteria and mobility must be encouraged by offering supported and interesting pathways.

U4U is the first union to have called for the revision and improvement of JSIS, and is fighting for the budget for the Commission's social policy to be reinforced and access to care facilitated

We are still opposed to a reform of the Statute; we have all already paid the price for the 2004 and 2014 reforms. We defend our pension system and seek to maintain our purchasing power.

U4U is in favor of an increase in the Union budget, with sufficient resources for a public service commensurate with its missions. We recommend a mid-term review of the budget for Heading 7 (human resources: operation, buildings, salaries, pensions, health, European schools, crèches and nurseries), to facilitate the implementation of the current European recovery plan – or even allow that of a second recovery plan, which we consider useful.
