Equal treatment : diversity and inclusion

U4U has long fought for equal treatment. Despite progress, parity and inclusion of diversity are not always realities in our institution. The management style, the type of selection and the evaluation criteria of staff are not sufficiently able to promote diversity, and the institution itself wishes to improve them. Equality, dignity and non-discrimination are European values anchored today in our civic aspirations: let us lead by example. In particular, let us change recruitment methods to diversify qualifications and skills, in the direction of greater diversity;

No one should be discriminated against, regardless of nationality, gender, age, origin, religion, sexual orientation, political beliefs... Specific measures will have to be taken to avoid this. An HR strategy should foster an inclusive approach in the daily work environment, which can win the support of every colleague and make our Institutions a workplace where everyone finds their place. In addition, training focused on welcoming colleagues with specific needs must be provided;

Diversity is also social. We want to fight against disparities and precariousness among staff. On the basis of their merits and experience, the European Parliament must offer career opportunities to staff of all categories, officials and other servants. A community of interest must constantly be sought because division weakens and hinders the proper execution of the missions entrusted to it.
